Ground independant indicates that the antenna does not have to be grounded and so is suitable for installations on non metal vessels.

The AE346 series pre-tuned high performance, 1.8 m ground independent, marine antennas are designed for optimum communication range. All variants are matched in appearance and are ideal for installations where multiple, but differing band types, are required on the same vessel. Each specific model features colour match identifiers on the whip and base to ensure the correct whip is returned to each base.
